Hire Terms

  1. Drivers


1.1 All drivers hiring a supercar must be 30 years + with minimum 5 years driving experience.

All other cars are 25 years with a minimum of 3 years driving experience


1.2 All drivers must provide the following IDs:


Full driving licence

DVLA Check if UK Licence Holder


Credit/Debit  card in the name of the main driver for security deposit (we only accept Credit card deposit if you are renting a super car).

1 proof of address (utility bill/bank statement dated within the last 3 months)


Mobile phone bills are not acceptable as proofs of address.


1.3 All IDs will need to be received at least 7 days before the hire date to allow sufficient time for them to be processed.


1.4 If you have less than 7 days until your hire please ensure that you get your IDs across as soon as possible and discuss this with the Sales Representative.


  1. UK Licences


2.1 For UK licence holders, A DVLA check will be carried out to confirm whether there are any endorsements on the licence. To do this you will need to access your driver record at https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. Once you are logged in you will need to generate a check code and then email this into us. This should be done 4 days before your hire is due to commence. You will need your NI number.


2.2 Drivers must have no more than 3 points for minor offences.


2.3 Any driver who has any more than 3 points must first be referred to Management and then upon approval referred to our insurance company.


2.4 If the insurance company do accept the driver they may increase the damage excess – in this case, the security deposit remains the same it is the damage excess and total write off the excess that increases.


2.5 There may also be an additional premium to pay – this will be confirmed upon acceptance.


  1. International Licences


3.1 The following licences are acceptable;

3.2 All other countries need to be referred to our insurers for approval.

3.3 In order for us to refer you please submit all of the IDs as set out in 1.2 via email to info@seasoncars.com.


  1. Payments

4.1 All payments must be made on the main driver’s credit/debit card.

4.2 Payment for rental can also be transferred directly into our bank account below:

4.3 If making a bank transfer, cleared funds must be received before the car leaves our premises.


4.4 If making payment for the rental with a credit card a 3% processing fee will apply. If making payment for the rental with an American Express card a 5% processing fee will apply.


4.5 All outstanding amounts must be paid before the car leaves our premises unless you are a corporate account holder and have credit terms agreed with us. Under no circumstances will we offer credit to any customer who does not hold a credit account with us.

  1. Security Deposit


5.1 The security deposit is a pre-authorisation on the main driver’s credit card which is processed on the day of the hire.


5.2 Security Deposits must be taken via a chip and pin transaction either at the time of collecting the vehicle from our office or on delivery.


5.3 Credit card processing fees are not applicable on security deposits as this is a pre-authorisation, therefore the funds are held and not actually taken from your account. Your available balance will decrease and then upon release, it will increase again.


5.4 At the end of the hire, the security deposit will be released within 3 working days once the car is checked in properly by our Aftercare Team. Once the deposit is released on our side, it can then take up to 10 working days to appear back in your account this depends on your bank.


5.5 If you wish to pay an early release fee of £10, we can put a transaction through which will release your deposit within 3 working days. This is from the time of receiving a confirmation email from our Aftercare Team informing you that the car has been returned to an acceptable standard.


5.6 Every customer must leave a security deposit and without it, the vehicle will not be released. If the Hirer is unable to leave the full security deposit, any monies paid will be non-refundable and if this is less than 48 hours until the hire is due to commence, 100% of the booking amount will become payable.

  1. Bookings


6.1 If a booking is to commence on a Monday, the earliest collection time is 3pm so that it does not interfere with the weekend booking.


6.2 If a car is to be returned on a Friday it must return by 12 noon the latest so that it does not interfere with the weekend booking.

6.3 All vehicles are provided with a 100 miles a day allowance unless otherwise stated.

  1. Insurance

7.1 If at the time of booking, the Hirer selects the option to use our insurance, UK fully comprehensive insurance will be provided as long as the driver meets all requirements as set out above.

7.2 Our insurance policy includes a damage excess and a total write off excess which is the Hirer’s maximum liability in the event of any damage to the vehicle or in the event of an accident. The excess amount is subject to the vehicle hired, please see your quotation for excess details.

  1. Additional Costs and Aftercare

8.1 At the time of collecting the vehicle, you will asked to sign a rental agreement and Aftercare Sheet – a copy of this is available beforehand if requested.

8.2 Once the vehicle is returned, the vehicle will be checked in by our staff and you will receive an email to confirm that the car meets our required standards. If there are any additional charges for damages, fuel or excess mileage these will be included in the email.

8.3 In cases where the vehicle is returned excessively dirty or in poor weather conditions, a secondary inspection of the vehicle will be carried out once the car has been valeted.

  1. Airport Delivery

9.1 If you have selected delivery at the airport, a complimentary meet and greet service is included in the price of your rental. This means that the driver will meet you inside the Terminal with a name card so that you can easily identify him. He will then escort you to your vehicle which will be parked in the short stay car park.

Any driver who does not meet the above criteria or does not have the necessary IDs and/or funds will not be hired to and any monies paid will be non-refundable. 100% of the full rental amount may also become payable if the hire is due to commence within less than 48 hours.
